O.T.A.M

1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers will experience Post Natal Depression within the first year of parenthood.
The Ode to a Mother Project provides in-home support to first time parents who are learning to navigate life with a baby.
Caring for a newborn, without a support network, can feel daunting and isolating; our service provides new parents an extra pair of hands during the transitional period of bringing their baby home. Our team of experts offer professionalism, patience, and empathy to care for you and your family, with complete privacy and confidentiality for you and your circumstances.
How it works
Nicora sub-contracts a team of highly skilled professionals who are qualified in Support-Work and Mental Health. Our services can be tailored to your needs, providing in-home support once a week for 2 hours, for up to 4 weeks if required. Our in-home services are to assist new parents with house hold chores and daily living.
How much does this service cost?
We can empathise and understand what financial burdens can suddenly arise for new parents which is why we provide a cost-free service. Nicora Boutique privately funds the Ode to a Mother Project, with each sale aiding the funding for the Support Workers who provide the services. With our commitment to accessible and affordable support, new parents can focus primarily on recovery & healing, their well-being and bonding with their baby.
What services does Ode to a Mother offer?
Taking care of a new baby can be, at times, exhausting and overwhelming, how you utilise this time is up to you. Our team provides assistance in general household tasks; tidying up, bed making, laundry and light grocery shopping. Our team can also provide company and a chat if that is all you prefer.
What is the eligibility criteria?
Our services cater to first-time parents, with babies aged 0-12 months, residing in the Ipswich, QLD area. Mums or Dads are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility is regardless of age, race, religion, same-sex couples, sexual orientation, or gender. While our service is currently only available in Ipswich, we aim to expand to the wider Brisbane region and eventually all across Queensland, making our services accessible to more families.
